Light pollution has increased nearly 10% in the US over the past 12 years.  This alarming fact didn’t sit well with our client. In an effort to reduce light pollution locally, the Town of Truckee tapped East River PR & Marketing to create a multi-channel campaign that raised awareness and encouraged residents and visitors alike to make small but important behavior changes.

 

Our communication strategy used visual tools that directly connected actions to benefits. In this case, Lights out for Brighter Stars! The campaign included a video, stickers and magnets, community full moon hikes, an infographic, and outreach to local HOAs and Non-profits to help amplify the message.
