THE CHALLENGE
Tahoe Forest Health System needed to hear from a broad cross-section of the Tahoe-Truckee community to help shape its next strategic plan — making sure residents, patients, staff, partners and historically underserved populations all had a voice in the process.
OUR APPROACH
East River PR & Marketing led a bilingual community engagement campaign that combined strategic outreach, listening sessions, stakeholder partnerships, digital advertising, earned media, direct mail, social media, event coordination and a dedicated project website to meet people where they were and maximize participation.
From launch through campaign close, East River PR owned the engagement strategy and channel execution, produced the bilingual materials, and handled partner coordination, tracking and monthly board reporting. The team showed up in person at food bank distributions, local congregations, a bilingual mobile home park event and community listening sessions held in coffee shops, breweries and other local gathering spots — reaching residents who rarely appear in a hospital's engagement data.
