BUILDING AWARENESS AND ENCOURAGING ACTION AROUND THE DARK SKIES MOVEMENT.
Light pollution has increased nearly 10% in the US over the past 12 years and this didn’t sit well with our client. In an effort to reduce light pollution locally, the Town of Truckee tapped East River PR & Marketing to create a multi-channel campaign that raised awareness and encouraged residents and visitors alike to make small but important behavior changes.
Our communication strategy used visual tools that directly connected actions to benefits. In this case, Lights out for Bright Stars! The campaign included a video, stickers and magnets, community hikes, an infographic, and outreach to local HOAs and Non-profits to help amplify the message.
